NOPE Compost Co. was founded in 2009 by father & son team Chip and Marshall Hall.

Understanding that uneaten food can be used to create compost to enrich Virginia soils, the two began partnering with schools, businesses, and restaurants to keep food waste out of landfills.

Marshall now runs NOPE with an inspired team by his side, and together they work to address the ever growing problems associated with food scraps and organic materials entering landfills.​

NOPE's team diverts over 5 million pounds of food scraps from Virginia organizations each year.
